Start with the shared facts
A document pack might repeat the same party details, addresses and matter description across several precedents. This design would define those fields once, assign responsibility for checking them and separate shared facts from document-specific choices. A missing value would appear as an exception to resolve, rather than an empty space hidden in a draft.
Review the pack as a whole
The proposed workflow would produce review copies together, with the selected precedent versions recorded. The reviewer would check both the legal content and whether the shared details remain consistent across the pack. Any connection between the practice system and document tool would need configuration and testing before staff relied on it.
The practical lesson
Give a repeated fact one owner. Review the pack for consistency as well as checking each document on its own.
